About Us

Who We Are

Formed in 2008, the Coast Builders Coalition is a 501(c)(6), non-profit trade association comprised of private sector companies in the business of restoring Louisiana’s coastal area and enhancing the state’s levees, floodwalls, and other hurricane protection public works.

Mission

The Coast Builders Coalition brings together leaders from the private and public sectors to provide leadership and best practices in the implementation of a comprehensive restoration and protection system for South Louisiana.

Staff

Scott Kirkpatrick serves as the President of the Coast Builders Coalition. Located in Baton Rouge, Mr. Kirkpatrick is a partner at the Roedel Parsons law firm where he represents a variety of clients on government relations matters. An attorney, Mr. Kirkpatrick previously worked in Washington, D.C. for former Senator John Breaux and former Congressman Richard Baker. Mr. Kirkpatrick also served as the natural resources, transportation and environment policy advisor to Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco.
